Daphne is a licensed practical nurse and clinical investigator at Healthcare Fraud Shield. Prior to jumping headfirst into the healthcare field, Daphne was a paralegal for 13 years, where she assisted in multiple areas of law. She fell in love with the personal injury field due to the heavy reliance on healthcare related materials for settlements and trials. Medical record review was an essential part of the day-to-day experience gained in the legal field, which would eventually correlate and integrate strongly into her new profession. Daphne had 3 years of experience as a nurse prior to transitioning to a medical coder, auditor, analyst, and fraud investigator.
Daphne has a naturally inquisitive personality (much to her spouse’s annoyance) and can often be found researching into the wee hours of the morning. She considers learning a lifelong endeavor and continues to seek and share newly discovered information whenever possible (also to her spouse’s annoyance).
When she doesn’t have her nose buried in research or learning something new, Daphne likes to spend time hiking local trails with her husband and 2 kids, hanging out with her 3 cats: Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, and Sassparilla, and trying new hobbies.
